Compassionate Support - Lasting Change

Child Counselling

The SMC Approach
For many families, accessing support can take time, with long waiting lists meaning children and young people can be left waiting when they are finding things difficult.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s important that young people feel comfortable with the person they are choosing to talk to.
From September, I will be offering a free one-to-one first meeting for young people aged 12+.
This gives them the opportunity to meet me, ask any questions, get a feel for the counselling space and decide if they feel comfortable taking the next step.
I also offer a free telephone consultation with parents/carers, so you have the opportunity to share your concerns, ask questions and discuss whether counselling may be helpful.
I work with young people experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, low confidence, friendship difficulties, big emotions, life changes and neurodiversity.
Every young person is different. My aim is to create a space where they feel listened to, understood and able to be themselves.
